We arrived on a Saturday night in January at 8pm.  First impressons were ambiguous... the place had good atmosphere, but they were crowding people in by having the tables too close together.  It was crowded and busy, but luckily there was no wait...probably due to the extreme cold weather (-25 Celsius).  I say luckily because we had tried to make a reservation but were told all reservation spots were taken.  We decided to take our chances as the person on the phone had also advised that, because of the weather over the last few nights, they did not anticipate us having to wait long, and they were right.

For an entree, the chicken souvlaki dinner seemed a bit small, but I've been assured it was very good.  I myself had the lamb shank, which was expertly prepared.  The lamb was seasoned authentically and distinctly different, but flavourful and very tender.  The two sides (mixed vegetables and Greek potatoes) were also, individually excellent.  You could tell that care had been taken with every aspect f the meal.

The reason I am giving this a 4 star is because when my girlfriend called to make a reservation (earlier in the day), the gentleman who answered the phone told her she was 3 years too late and hung up. When we showed up later in the evening, we were able to get a table without waiting. Very rude customer service over the phone, seemingly for no reason.

This was the most "lively" spot (a belly-dancer!), but we had some special dietary needs and a large group which seemed to be a real challenge for Tholos, but was easy at the other two restaurants.

When first impressions don't go well, I tend to get extra critical and things go downhill from there, but I'm happy to say this did not fit that pattern, and i would have given Tholos a 5 if not for the overcrowding.

Food was amazing! We got the dip platter as an appetizer. The portion was quite large, especially for 2 people. We then split the chicken souvlaki, which was a little smaller than expected considering the price. But it tasted amazing, the restaurant atmosphere was awesome and the staff was excellent .

Probably the best restaurant in blue Mountain Village (Along with Copper Blues which is also right up there). Must try the Saganaki flaming cheese, the six bone rack of lamb appetizer served as three think pieces which is fabulous, and the blackened scallops. Wine list by the glass is a titch overpriced - The service can get a little slower as they get busier because it is a very popular place. Reservations recommended on the weekend. They also have belly dancing on the weekend evenings which the ladies tend to put up with and the men tend to like. Just saying…

Service was immediate, friendly and thoughtful (the waiter noted one of our tables had a slight wobble and took care of it without me complaining... which I would have.. or tried to fix it myself.  I hate that) and continued to be excellent throughout.  As other reviews have mentioned, the prices are a little on the expensive side, but in line with other restaurants in the village.  Be prepared to drop a minimum of $200 CAD for a party of 4 having entrees only with 1 bottle of wine.

We went to three restaurants for dinner while we were up at Blue Mountain over the Holidays. The food here was good (but not the best of the three), and our server was great (but only second best).

Went for dinner tonight with friends and family (9 people) and was very disappointed, practically appalled. Upcharges were a disgrace, extra for olive oil and vinegar at a greek restaurant? The consistency of the meals were horrible, and for the price everything was not worth it, I understand that it is a resort town but spend your money more wisely than here. Also, we waited almost 2 hours for 9 meals and nothing was overly extravagant nor was the restaurant packed. We split the bill into two (3 and 6) and were informed that an 17% tip was added on and were upset that this was mandatory for 6 people groups but since our bills were split up we thought this was unfair (we still tipped the waitress over 17% don't worry). We brought up our discrepancies with the waitress who brought us the manager or the assumed owner (old bald man) who was extremely rude and threatened to call the police if we didn't pay it, they took the 17% off the 3 person bill very rudely and the 6 person bill paid the 17%. DO NOT COME HERE
