If you are looking for a real woodsy camping site with good facilities and a beach this place is not for you. However, if you plan on camping with several families/groups that will be interacting daily and you want easy access between sites this might be your cup of tea.

Windy and stoney ground, the beach breeze was to strong to go boating. Maybe just wrong timing as this was almost fall season.

Good location but sites are very small. Views are awesome but it is very noisy since it is located besides the route. I had reserved a waterfront site and when I arrived it was busy. The stuff was very nice and they tried their best but there was no space. So they relocated my family and myself in another place which was not a site. It was only for emergency. It was terrible. Ground is full of rocks.

Entire campground is placed on a thin stretch of land between the shoreline and the highway. Three to four rows of campsites with little intermediate brush make for very little privacy on the side of the camp which allows radios. The radio free area looks like there is more privacy thanks to established trees. Pet beach is clear on the other side of the campground from the day beach, though signs suggest that pets are not allowed off leash even on the designated beach. Would post 2.5 stars if able.

The staff were friendly and the water in the facilities was hot, but the positives end there. The campsites are wide open (virtually no trees to separate sites for privacy), it's is very close to a main road with frequent traffic noise, and the restrooms were very rundown with old cracked tiles and, while it was clear they tried to tend to them with regular cleaning, they need renovations to be comfortable. The lake is close by which would be great if there was an actual beach. The water entryway maybe fine for a canoe/kayak launch, but the shoreline is very murky and rocky - not suitable for entering the water for a swim without supreme caution to ensure not slipping or stubbing a toe.

No privacy anymore after the storm last year. Park wardens are also fairly strict as they usually are at Ontario parks. Good place to stay if you're looking to do downhill biking at Blue on a budget though. Would highly recommend for that. Quick 20 minute ride to the hill.
