Friendly cafe serving organic coffee and goodies in the heart of Thornbury. Free wifi, comfortable chairs - good place to meet friends or sit and read or journal.

I love the Ashanti Coffee House. My favourites are the Sandwiches, nicely toasted. Cheesy yummy goodness. The coffee is great and I like picking up a few of the roasted coffee sacks for growing potatoes in my garden. Just get one of the sacks, fill it with 4 inches of soil in the spring. Place 5 potatoes in a star pattern (like the five star rating) and when the sprouts break through and get leafy, just add some more soil and keep doing that for 90 days... and voila a bag of potatoes... coffee sack becomes potato sack.. hows that for a coffee shop!

Very good coffee place! Great atmosphere, much superior to the monster chains. Very nice place to take friends and have a chat. Very good baked goodies. Interesting looking main course food items, although we didn't try any. If you're in Thornberry, well worth a try!

This place is like CHEERS. They all know your name and what you like to drink. They also are willing to suggest something like new from time to time. To day is was Tummerac Tea which warmer right through to the bone. Well worth the visit. The deserts are always fresh and very tasty. I really like the Carrot Cake and the Butter Cream Brownies
